    Project: Automated LPG Gas Leakage Detection and Response System with Arduino

    Components:

    • Arduino Nano microcontroller
    • MQ-6 Gas Sensor (or similar LPG-sensitive sensor)
    • GSM Module (e.g., SIM800C, SIM900A) with SIM card
    • Servo Motor
    • 5V DC Fan
    • 5V DC Power Supply
    • Gas Regulator with Solenoid Valve (crucial safety feature)
    • Jumper Wires
    • Breadboard (optional)

    Functionality:

    1. Gas Detection: The MQ-6 sensor continuously monitors the environment for LPG gas.
    2. Leakage Alert: If the sensor detects gas above a predefined threshold, the Arduino triggers an alarm sequence.
    3. Automatic Gas Shutoff: The servo motor rotates to turn the gas regulator’s solenoid valve clockwise, effectively shutting off the gas supply. (Never directly control the gas regulator knob with a servo due to potential malfunctions.)
    4. Ventilation Activation: The 5V DC fan is powered on to create airflow and disperse the accumulated gas.
    5. SMS Notification: The GSM module sends an SMS alert to a predefined mobile number, notifying you of the gas leak and actions taken.

    Safety Considerations:

    • Do not attempt to directly control the gas regulator knob with a servo motor. Mechanical malfunctions could lead to a gas leak that the system cannot address.
    • The solenoid valve on the gas regulator is designed for automated shutoff and offers a more reliable and safe solution.
    • Install the gas detector in a well-ventilated area to facilitate gas dispersion by the fan.
    • Regularly test the system’s functionality to ensure it remains operational.
    • Never ignore a gas leak alarm. Evacuate the premises and contact emergency services immediately.
